Cocker Beck at Lowdham

Flooding is expected – immediate action required

River levels has fallen at the Lowdham Grange river gauge after a period of persistent heavy rainfall. The risk of flooding is reducing. Areas which may still be at risk are Lowdham Main Street, and Station Road, including Merevale, and Limetree Gardens. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated this morning, 13/06/19, or as the situation changes.

Day Brook at Ventnor Rise and Athorpe Grove in Old Basford

Flooding is expected – immediate action required

River levels are gradually falling at the Day Brook river gauge after a period of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas which may still be at risk are Ventnor Rise, Valley Road and Athorpe Grove. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Please avoid contact with flood water.

River Leen at Bulwell

Flooding is expected – immediate action required

River levels are high but steady at the Bulwell river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding (of property) is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are Bulwell, including Carey Road, and Highbury junctions with Main Street. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecasted. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 13/06/19, or as the situation changes.

Areas most at risk are Old Basford, Bobbers Mill and Radford. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels have peaked and will remain steady, with no further rise forecasted.
