Flooding is expected – immediate action required
River levels are high but steady at the Ordsall river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Retford, including Eaton and Gamston, the A638 Eaton to Ordsall Road, the B6387 Gamston Road at Gamston, Eaton Road at Eaton, and the A631 at Bawtry. We expect river levels to remain high throughout Sunday 10/11/19. Further rainfall is forecast from Monday morning, 11/11/19, onwards. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are deploying pumps, people and equipment, and liaising with emergency services. Please move family, pets and cars to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
