‘Buses will replace trains between Crewe, Stoke on Trent and Derby this morning because of urgent repairs required to the track at Alsager. You may also us your tickets on alternative routes via Stafford to/from Stoke and Tamworth to/from Derby.’

Storm Isha – Monday 22 January the speed restrictions have now been withdrawn

Network Rail have advised that the speed restrictions that were in place on Sunday 21 January have now been removed.

On Monday 22 January, some early morning services may be altered or cancelled, with some delays to be expected before 07:00.

Nottingham – Newark Castle

‘There is a fault with the barriers at Colwick Level Crossing. This is between Nottingham and Netherfield Junction and is disrupting our trains on the Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich, Leicester/Nottingham/Lincoln/Grimsby, Nottingham/Grantham/Skegness and the Crewe/Derby/Newark Castle routes
Network Rail are arranging a team to go to the crossing and look into the fault. We have no estimate for when they will arrive.’

Network Rail have advised that speed restrictions will be in place across much of the East Midlands network from 18:00 on Sunday 21 January, until 07:00 on Monday 22 January.

Due to high winds caused by Storm Isha, services are suspended between Nottingham and Mansfield Woodhouse.


Clumber Park closes

For the safety of visitors and the team, the park closed early on Sunday 21 January, due to the forecasted high winds.

The park will remain closed, including Truman’s gate, until tree and building inspections have been completed on Monday 22 January.
