London PR agency buys Nottingham office building

The two storey, 1500 sq ft office building will help the agency achieve their plan to double their six-strong team over the next two years.


Award winning digital PR agency London PR has moved into a new Nottingham office building after completing its purchase and refurbishment earlier this year.

The e-commerce focused agency, which was founded in Nottingham in 2007, has bought a unit at Poplars Court in Lenton and moved their team in this week (April 2).

Founded by former Daily Mirror and Nottingham Post staff journalist Steve McComish, the agency began with a focus on national media relations rather than local PR and chose the name London PR to reflect this strategy.

It also proved to be a successful tactic on Google helping the agency attract business from across the UK as well as Midlands based e-commerce clients such as musclefood.com.

The agency’s work with musclefood has helped the online retailer become one of Britain’s fastest growing companies and, in 2018, London PR picked up two coveted Chartered Institute of Public Relations awards for their part in musclefood’s success story.

Over the past 12 years London PR has developed an enviable track record of delivering extremely high volumes of online media coverage and SEO friendly hyperlinks from some of the UK’s biggest news sites such as BBC News, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph and Mail Online.

Last month (MARCH 2019) the London PR team delivered 564 items of media coverage and 528 media hyperlinks into client websites. On average each client enjoyed more than one item of media coverage and a link for every day of the month, including weekends. Find out more here.

London PR director Steve McComish said: “Buying our own office is an important milestone in the evolution of the agency. After 12 years in rented offices it certainly isn’t something we have rushed into. Instead we have taken our time to make sure we found the right office for us.

“We wanted a modern, open plan space and parking was important to us. Our clients are based all over the UK so it wasn’t necessary for us to be in a city centre location with the logistical headaches that can bring. But it is good to be close enough to town to be able to pop in as and when we want to. It’s also a great location in terms of attracting talent from Nottingham’s two universities, both of which we have close relationships with.

“With the team now all moved in and with the important addition of Willow as office dog, head of security and all round entertainments manager, we are now looking forward to pushing on to further growth. Last year was our biggest ever in terms of fee income and we are expecting to see further growth during 2019.
