There are long delays on the M1 northbound between Junction 14 (Milton Keynes) and Junction 15 (Northampton) due to a broken down which has closed 2 lanes.
The cab and trailer of the HGV have become detached making recovery more complex.
There are currently delays of over an hour approaching the lane closures.
If travelling from the south you may wish to consider alternative routes such as the A1M.
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to stalled truck on M1 Northbound from J14 A509 (Milton Keynes) to J15 A45 (Northampton). Lanes one and two (of three) are now closed whilst vehicle awaits recovery. Travel time is 30 minutes.’
