An Australian jewellery brand is planning to open a new shop on one of Nottingham’s shopping streets.
Lovisa, which describes its products as being “chic at affordable prices”, has submitted plans to Nottingham City Council for a building at number 7 Clumber Street.
The initial plans show the brand is looking to put up signs ahead of it opening a new store.
It was once home to Vault, a café that closed in September 2025 after two years.
The all-day venue opened in August 2023 in the former site of the Chopstix noodle bar, serving breakfast, lunch, cakes and coffee.
At night Vault turned into a nightclub.
The building has been vacant ever since.
Lovisa’s planned opening comes as Japanese gaming giant Bandai Namco is also looking to open a new store that would fill another prominent unit in Clumber Street.
Bandai Namco has tabled plans to open what it calls a “cross store” in a building that was once home to Sports Direct.
The Japanese business is behind some of the world’s biggest gaming universes and franchises, including Pac-Man, Tekken, Dark Souls and Elden Ring, Tamagotchi and Ace Combat.
Sports Direct was once one of Clumber Street’s leading retailers up until its closure in early 2025, having relocated to a separate store in Lister Gate months prior.
Both plans now sit with the council for consideration.
