Lowdham Pub to Re-Open After Refurbishment

The popular Springfield Inn pub in Lowdham, Nottingham, part of the Vintage Inns group, will be given a new lease of life this month thanks to a refurbishment and stunning makeover.

The Springfield Inn on Old Epperstone Road, which closed earlier this week, is set to undergo a major refurbishment that will give the much-loved country eating and drinking spot event more rural charm and rustic character than ever before. The overhaul will see the pub re-open to the public next Tuesday, 25th October.
As part of the overhaul, the Springfield Lodge will also become home to an InnKeeper’s Lodge which will provide charming local accommodation consisting of 11 stylishly refurbished bedrooms, complete with modern comforts such as a complimentary breakfast, free WiFi and free parking, as well as bags of period charm making it a lovely place to unwind.

To celebrate, locals will be invited to check out their new look Vintage Inn at an exclusive, VIP launch event on Friday 4th November, between 6pm and 8pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample mini canapés from The Springfield Inn’s menu of hearty, seasonal pub food, including favourites such as the premium Wagyu burger, delicious ham hock, and a divine twist on a classic – the king prawn, lobster and avocado cocktail. Plus, to help toast the celebrations in style, guests will each receive a free glass of Prosecco on arrival, and 20% of their next visit.
At the centre of the overhaul is a total revamp of the dining and bar area which will have new furniture, carpets and lighting throughout, as well as a more open plan and inviting layout, which will include luxurious and warm fabrics, delivering a classic and timeless country pub feel.

A roaring log fireplace will welcome guests out of the cold and invite them to put their feet up in one of the pub’s many ‘cosy nook’ areas – perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine or a pint of delicious real ale in comfort.

Whether you’re planning a dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with the family, the new and improved surroundings will give guests that home from home feeling, with open log fires, plenty of rustic charm, and a great selection of regional cask ales and fine wines to choose from.

“The new accommodation and addition of an InnKeeper’s Lodge will provide the ideal bolt-hole for short breaks and getaways and we’re confident this will not only be a big hit with locals, but will attract new customers and walkers from all over who want to explore the Trent Valley Way, with a place to enjoy a bite to eat and relax for the evening before relishing the delights of the Nottinghamshire countryside.”
The Springfield Inn in Lowdham will re-open its doors to the public as normal on Tuesday 25th October, with the new bedrooms at the InnKeeper’s Lodge opening on Monday 7th November.
