Councillor Simon Robinson, Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council talks about Lutterell Hall and the position as it stands.
Cllr Robinson said today in his leader’s update that the full consultation could take up to a year to complete, to ensure that all points of view and options are listened to before final decisions are made.
The council have approved a decision to begin a project to evaluate all options of the possible marketing of Lutterell Hall after Nottinghamshire Police announced that they will vacate West Bridgford Police Station.
Cllr Robinson said:
‘I absolutely understand the concerns of the community in terms of Lutterell Hall, but let me be absolutely clear now, we’re out to consultation, not just to users but to all sorts of community bodies who have got a stake in the hall and are interested in its future.
‘Absolutely no decision has been made and you have my 100% commitment that we will listen to everybody that has an opinion before we make a decision.
‘It could take up to a year in terms of the consultation because we want to make sure that everyone has a voice, we understand how important that is to the community and to all the people who use it.
‘So, we will make that decision from a very informed stance as we move forward.
