The M1 in Nottinghamshire is closed northbound between J25 and J26 due to a diesel spillage from an earlier car fire.
Traffic Officers and contractors are working at the scene to clear the spillage from the carriageway.
A strategic diversion route has been installed:
- At the M1 J25 , exit onto the A52 east.
- At Bramcote roundabout , take the A6007 Ilkeston road and travel north until the A6002.
- Turn right onto the A6002 and follow until the A610.
- At the roundabout take the A610 west until J26 interchange.
- At J26 rejoin the M1 northbound.
Road users are advised to expect disruption and allow extra journey time.
