The M1 is closed Southbound J29-J28 (between Heath and South Normanton) due to a lorry fire and a significant diesel spill.
A significant diesel spill has covered all four lanes and resurfacing may be required.
Delays of 60 minutes are reported on the approach to J29, with congestion back to J29a at Duckmanton.
Traffic is diverted to follow the hollow square symbol:-
- from J29 head south on the A617 towards Mansfield
- then head south on the A6075
- then head west on the A38 to return to J28.
