The M1 currently has delays of at least 60 minutes from J24 (for East Midlands Airport/ Loughborough) to J26 (for Nottingham).
The incident covers over 8 miles of the southbound carriageway.
The delays are due to a collision resulting in a lane 1 closure.
For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and you may wish to re-route or delay your journey.
