M1 is closed at J27 northbound after serious collision – long delays

The M1 in Nottinghamshire is closed northbound between J27 and J28 near Mansfield due a serious collision. Emergency services and Highways England Traffic Officers are currently on scene.

The incident was reported at approximate 09:45 am on Saturday 7 November.

Road users are advised to follow the hollow triangle diversion symbol on road signs. Exit the M1 J27 and take the A608 westbound for approximately 1.5 miles.

Then take the B600 northbound for approximately 5.5 miles. At the junction with the A38(T) at Somercotes, take the A38(T) eastbound to re-join the M1 at J28.

Please allow extra time for your journey if travelling in the area or consider alternative routes.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Derbyshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service are at the scene.
