The M1 in Derbyshire is closed northbound between J29 near Chesterfield / Mansfield and J29A near Bolsover for emergency re-surfacing works following a collision which resulted in a significant fuel spillage.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Triangle symbol on road signs
At M1 Junction 29, exit onto the A617 west & continue for approximately 8km.
At the A61/A617 roundabout, take the A61 north and continue for approximately 2.3km.
At the next roundabout, take the A619 east for 10.4km.
At the roundabout with the A616, take the westbound exit and continue on the A616 to re-join the northbound M1 at Junction 30.
There are severe delays of 120+ minutes on approach to this closure.
