Update: All lanes are now open on the M1 northbound between J21A and J22 near Leicester following an earlier collision. There are 4 miles of congestion following this incident causing 30 min delays above normal journey time. Please allow time for delays to clear.
National Highways said at 3:48pm 8 April:
’Traffic is currently stopped on the M1 northbound between J21A and J22 near Leicester due to a multi vehicle collision.
‘There is approx. 4 miles of congestion on approach causing delays of 40 mins above normal journey time.’
