M1 northbound J22: Lanes closed and severe delays after four-vehicle collision

There are delays on the M1 between J22 and J23.

AA reports:

‘One lane closed, queueing traffic for four miles and delays due to crash, four cars involved on M1 Northbound between J22 A50 (Coalville / Ashby-De-La-Zouch) and J23 A512 Ashby Road East (Loughborough). Travel time is 30 minutes.’

National Highways said at 4:13 pm on Friday 29 April:

‘Two lanes closed on the M1 northbound between J22 (Leicester) and J23 (Loughborough) due to a collision involving four vehicles.

‘There is approx. 6 miles of congestion, please allow an extra 30 to 35 minutes journey time.
