There are long delays on the M1 after a collision.

All lanes are now open on the #M1 northbound between J28 and J29 following an earlier collision. There are 5 miles of congestion following this incident causing 20 min delays above normal journey time. Please allow time for these delays to clear.
‘Lane 4 is closed on the M1 northbound between J28 ( Mansfield ) and J29 ( Chesterfield ) due to a multi vehicle collision.
‘Emergency services and traffic officers are on scene.
‘There is 6 miles of congestion on approach causing 30 min delays above normal journey time.’

‘One lane closed, long delays and queueing traffic for five miles due to crash on M1 Northbound between J28 A38 (Alfreton / Mansfield) and (Tibshelf Services).
‘Congestion to before J27 (Hucknall).
‘Lane four (of four) is closed.
‘Lane three has reopened.’
