M1 reopens after traffic collision – one arrested after positive breath test

Highways England reopened the M1 at J20.

Two lanes were closed on the M1 southbound between J21 and J20 because of an accident involving two cars. 

East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Police attended the incident.

Police said:

‘Joint agency working this morning with Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, EMAS and Highways England traffic officers.
