M1 two lanes closed southbound – collision between a car and caravan – overturned vehicle

Lanes three and four are closed on the M1 southbound between J29 and J28.

AA Roadwatch reports:

‘Two lanes closed and heavy traffic due to accident, a car and a caravan involved on M1 Southbound between J29 A617 (Chesterfield / Mansfield) and J28 A38 (Alfreton / Mansfield).

Highways England said:

‘The M1 southbound J29 to J29 two lanes have been closed due to a collision involving an overturned vehicle. Traffic Officers are currently at the scene and recovery is on the way.’
