A broken down lorry has caused a spillage of oil across carriageways.
Highways England said:
‘The M1 southbound J29 to J28 – two lanes have been closed due to a broken down lorry that has spilled oil across the carriageway.
‘Highways England traffic officers are on scene.
‘Please pass with caution.’

AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to spillage of oil and stalled truck on M1 Southbound from J29 A617 (Chesterfield / Mansfield) to J28 A38 (Alfreton / Mansfield). Lane one and two (of four) are closed.’
