Macademia is inviting local families to visit its new West Bridgford studio at a special open day on Saturday 21 March from 10am–7pm.
Visitors will be able to explore the new space, meet tutors and find out more about Macademia’s hands-on learning programmes designed to help young people explore real careers.
Sessions include architecture, engineering, art, fashion design and medicine, with students working on practical studio-style projects rather than traditional classroom lessons.
Macademia now runs several programmes including the Young Professionals Academy (after-school and weekend sessions), the Daytime Academy for home-educated students, and Holiday Studios during school holidays.
Families are welcome to drop in throughout the day, with short talks at 12pm, 3pm and 6pm explaining how the programmes work.
The new studio is located at Trent Business Centre, Thoroton Road, West Bridgford (NG2 5FT).
