“Our investigation is ongoing to understand the circumstances of this collision. We would urge any witnesses to please get in touch with us.

“We would also ask any drivers who were in the area and may have recorded dashcam footage, which could help our inquiries, to please contact us”

“The road remained closed to allow us to conduct our investigation at the scene so I’d also like to thank people for their patience and understanding.”

Anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 137 of 15 July 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
