Police are investigating after a report that a man was verbally abused and threatened after challenging a group of up to 15 men on bicycles about social distancing.
The incident happened during a bottleneck on a path at Attenborough Nature Reserve, at around 4.15 pm on Saturday (9 May).
PC Craig Gealy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is completely unacceptable for a man to be threatened and abused in this way, particularly as he had a young child with him at the time when he was simply trying to remind the men of their responsibility to uphold social distancing guidance to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any CCTV or mobile phone footage to come forward.
“Please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 615 of 9 May 2020.”
