Police have arrested a suspect after reports that a man was stabbed.
It comes after officers were called to Liverpool Street, St Ann’s, at around 3pm today (Sunday 6 March).
The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
A cordon has been put in place in the area as emergency services deal with the incident and officers carry out enquiries.
Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “A number of officers are in the area to carry out house-to-house enquires while uniform colleagues are also on hand to provide local reassurance.
“We have made a swift arrest in connection with the enquiry.
“It is early in the investigation but it is believed to be a self-contained incident with no wider threat to the public.”
DI Burrow urged anyone who witnessed the incident or the moments before or after it to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 446 of 6 March 2022.
