Man arrested as police seize drugs from car in Nottingham

Nottinghamshire Police arrested a 31-year-old man yesterday in Top Valley and recovered potential class A drugs from a car.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested after officers recovered a significant quantity of what it believed to be class A drugs from a car.

The vehicle was stopped by officers in the car park of Tesco in Top Valley Way, Top Valley, at around 4pm yesterday.

Officers subsequently carried out a search at a property in Bestwood, and seized a large quantity of further suspected Class A and B drugs.

Police are continuing to question the 31-year-old on suspicion of drugs supply and enquiries are continuing.

Detective Inspector Richard Bull, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “This is a significant seizure and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch. We are determined to keep targeting drug supply on the streets of Nottingham.

“Op Reacher is a dedicated proactive policing team set up in April 2018 to support the local neighborhood officers in tackling crime and anti-social behavior in Bestwood and Surrounding communities. ”
