Man arrested in connection with nine West Bridgford burglaries

Police are questioning a man in connection with nine burglaries in West Bridgford after arresting him on suspicion of an attempted burglary in the town.

It was reported that a man was looking in the windows of a property on Priory Road just before 6.30am today (Monday 16 March 2020).

Officers swiftly responded and arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of attempted burglary.

He remains in custody and is currently being questioned in relation to other burglaries committed in West Bridgford between 15 February 2020 and 16 March 2020.

The arrest comes after a new proactive police operation was launched in Rushcliffe on Friday and Saturday night, including in West Bridgford, targeting overnight crime and burglary in the borough.
