Man arrested in Radcliffe computer shop burglary investigation

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Sunday.

Detectives investigating the theft of around £2,000 worth of mobile phones during a smash-and-grab shop raid have made an arrest.

The items were taken from the shop in Cromwell Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, shortly after 9pm on Tuesday 31 August, when a window was smashed.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of burglary and questioned by officers. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Inspector Rob Lawton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:  “This incident has had a significant impact on a local family business – both on a personal level and in terms of the considerable costs incurred.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we would still like to hear from anyone who may have vital information about what happened. So please get in touch on 101. No matter how small the information might be – it might just be the detail needed to track down another suspect.”
