Man banned from multiple Nottingham city premises for three years

Neighbourhood police have secured a court order to protect businesses and the public from a prolific offender.
Liam Meenan, aged 39, has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which bans him from entering various premises in Nottingham city centre for three years.

Officers from the City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team sought the order following a string of incidents in recent months.

Magistrates heard Meenan (pictured) had been stealing drinks, harassing customers and staff, stealing from shops and exposing himself in public.

PCSO Solomon Clark, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We’re delighted to have obtained this criminal behaviour order against Meenan, who has been tormenting a number of businesses and members of the public.

“A lot of work goes into securing these orders but it is all worth it because they can be extremely effective at preventing this sort of offending.

“By having this order in place, we know that if Meenan continues his poor behaviour he is likely to find himself behind bars.

“I hope people who have been affected by this sort of offending themselves are reassured by our robust response and the hard work which has gone into securing this order.”
