A man has been charged after a young woman was reportedly assaulted.
The 16-year-old girl is understood to have sustained injuries to her face during the incident on Monday (2 May 2022).
Danny Allen, 20, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (3 May 2022) where he was remanded in custody.
Allen, of Fleming Drive, Newark, is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 24 May 2022.
Detective Sergeant James Flint, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police treats all reports of this nature extremely seriously and our officers will always act swiftly to do whatever is needed to keep people safe.
“We have now charged a man in connection with this reported incident and criminal proceeding are underway.”
