Man charged after allegedly deliberately crashing car outside Nottingham school

A man was arrested after police received reports of a car deliberately crashing into another vehicle.

Officers quickly responded to the incident, which was reported to have taken place in Arleston Drive in Wollaton at around 8.40am yesterday morning.

When police arrived, they arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving, criminal damage and threatening behaviour in connection with the incident.

No one is reported to have been injured and police are now conducting a thorough investigation into what happened.

Inspector Gordon Fenwick, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers did an excellent job to quickly respond to the incident and make an arrest as part of their initial enquiries.

“Dangerous driving is not only reckless but it puts other people at risk unnecessarily and it is lucky no one was hurt in this incident.

“We are now working hard to establish the circumstances and I would appeal to anyone who may have information or footage to come forward.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any footage that could aid detectives in their investigation should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 163 of 26 June 2021.

The man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
