Man charged after indecent exposure incident in Nottingham city centre

A suspect has been charged after a woman was approached by a man who exposed himself.

Officers were called to Castle Gate, Nottingham city centre, following reports a man had approached a woman as she walked home at around 12.20 am on 12 January 2023.

He exposed himself before the woman pushed him away.

A 22-year-old man from Nottingham has been charged with exposure and is expected to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 2 February 2023.

Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I am pleased we have charged a suspect as this was an extremely upsetting incident for the victim. Officers are continuing to support her.

“Nottinghamshire Police treats all offences of this nature extremely seriously. In this case, we arrested a suspect within 48 hours of the incident being reported.”
