A man has been charged after police were called to reports of a fight with a knife.
Officers were called to Albany Road, New Basford, at around 9am yesterday (7 October 20221).
A 39-year-old man from New Basford, has now been charged with four offences including assault by beating, possession a controlled drug of class B, possession a knife or sharply pointed article in public and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke violence.
He was bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 28 October.
The 37-year-old victim suffered injuries to his hands but these are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering.
Constable Gail Collins, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have now charged a man in relation to this incident after officers acted quickly to find and detain him.
“Nottinghamshire Police remains committed to tackling knife crime through enforcement and education, working with partner agencies and the public.”
