A man appeared in court yesterday after he was arrested and charged following an argument which saw a man being allegedly threatened with a machete.
Officers swiftly detained a man after reports he was brandishing a machete inside a block of flats in Bramcote.
Police were called to the property in Peache Way at 10.45pm on Wednesday (7 April 2021) and arrested a 19-year-old man.
Eldante Jacobs, 19, of Peache Way in Bramcote has been charged with affray and possession of offensive weapon. He has been remanded into police custody and appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (9 April 2021).
Detective Inspector Kim Binns, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers arrived within minutes of the call and acted quickly to make an arrest in connection with this incident.
“Nottinghamshire Police takes all reports of knife crime extremely seriously. We will not tolerate people carrying knives in Nottinghamshire and we will always look to take action against those who are found to commit such offences.
