Detectives investigating a small blaze inside a house have charged a man.
Firefighters were called to a blaze at a property in Berridge Road West, Hyson Green, at 7.30pm on Sunday night (31 October).
When they arrived, they found a door inside the house had been badly damaged by fire.
A 32-year-old man from Bobbers Mill, appeared at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (2 November) charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 30 November.
Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Emergency services were quick to attend the incident and thankfully no one was injured.
“Fire can have incredibly dangerous consequences and we will always thoroughly investigate reports of arson.
“A man was charged in connection with the incident and officers continue to make enquiries and conduct their investigation.”
