Detectives investigating a robbery at a Nottingham jewellers have arrested and charged a suspect.
Luke Boden, of Maud Street, New Basford, Nottingham, has been charged with robbery, concealing / disguising / converting / transferring / removing criminal property, and driving whilst disqualified.
The charges relate to a report of a robbery at Cope Jewellers, in Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham, on 3 September 2024.
Boden has further been charged with attempted robbery after a jewellery stall in High Street, Long Eaton, was targeted on the same day.
The 29-year-old appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (10 September) and was remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 8 October 2024.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We’ve been carrying out robust inquiries since these incidents happened which has now resulted in one man being charged in connection to them.
“We treat incidents such as these extremely seriously and we will always carry out a thorough investigation in a bid to uncover who may be responsible.
“To be victim to an incident like this can be extremely distressing and we won’t tolerate these crimes.
“Our investigation will now continue.”
