A man is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today charged in connection with a city centre stabbing.
Colin Hartley, 22, from Hyson Green, is charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon after a man was reported to have been stabbed in the abdomen on Sunday 9 August 2020.
Police were called to Beastmarket Hill in Nottingham city centre at around 1.30am after a man had suffered serious injuries in an altercation.
Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes knife crime very seriously and will investigate all reports thoroughly.
“Any incident involving a knife has the potential to have fatal consequences. Thankfully, the victim is on their way to making a recovery in this incident.”
Hartley has been remanded in custody pending his court appearance today.
