Man charged after three motorbikes stolen from Rushcliffe village

Police investigating the theft of three motorbikes have charged a suspect.

The bikes were taken during a car key burglary near the village of Hickling between 28 and 30 August.

Two of the bikes were recovered nearby shortly afterwards but a third has never been found.

Stuart Esson, aged 41, of was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with burglary.

Esson, of Girdleness Road, Aberdeen, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning (Wednesday) and was remanded in custody until 24 November.

Detective Sergeant Gary Hewson, of Nottinghamshire Police’s county burglary team, said: “These kind of offences have a very significant impact on victims and I am delighted that we now have a suspect in custody in this case. Our investigation continues.”
