Man charged after victim falls from window following assault

A man has been charged by police investigating the assault of a man who fell from a window.

Officers are investigating an incident that happened at an address in Rosemary Street, Mansfield, in the early hours of Monday morning (29 November).

It is believed the victim – a man in his thirties – was assaulted inside the property and again outside it.

He was taken to hospital with leg and facial injuries.

James Chandler, aged 31, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday) morning and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 4 January 2022.

Detective Inspector Mike Ebbins, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation into what happened has been ongoing since Monday morning and I am pleased we have now been able to charge a suspect. Our work will continue over the coming weeks to ensure a successful outcome.”
