Detectives investigating a violent assault on two people have now charged a man.
Officers were made aware of the assault on a man and a woman that took place in Thoresby Close, Bircotes, on 6 October.
Following a detailed investigation, it was then linked with burglary and criminal damage offences that happened in White House Road, Bircotes, on 2 September and 5 September.
A 32-year-old mam from Bircotes has been charged with grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm, burglary and criminal damage.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 10 October.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 7 November 2022.
Detective Constable Jayne Milne, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have carried out an extremely detailed investigation over the last few weeks to understand exactly what happened during these incidents and I am pleased that hard work has now paid off and a suspect has been charged.”
Inspector Hayley Crawford, District Commander for Bassetlaw, said: “This was a violent assault on two people leaving them both requiring hospital treatment and needing urgent care.
“I want to thank all of the officers involved for their hard work and carrying out extensive inquiries to understand exactly what happened.
