A woman suffered marks and reddening all over her body after being allegedly assaulted by a man.
Officers attended a house in Sutton-in-Ashfield at around 6am on Sunday 18 April 2021 following a report of a domestic assault where a woman was strangled.
Jamie Sisson, 26, of Outram Street in Sutton-in-Ashfield has been charged with two counts of assault by beating.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday and has now been remanded into custody to appear in court on 27 April 2021.
Chief Inspector Pete Quinn of Nottinghamshire Police said: “As a force, we are committed to tackling domestic abuse and we will always look to support victims with specially trained officers while we take appropriate action against those who commit such offences.
