A man has been charged after a woman was threatened and robbed of her purse and mobile phone.
She was walking along a path that leads from Noel Street, Hyson Green, to the junction of Mount Hooten Street and Forest Road West when her bag was grabbed and she was threatened.
Officers investigating the incident, which happened at around 7am on Tuesday 23 November 2021, have since charged 30-year-old Nathan Gordon with robbery.
Gordon, of Ilkeston Road, Radford, was also charged with seven counts of fraud by false representation, as well as possession of a bladed article after officers recovered a pair of scissors.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (2 December) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday 6 January 2022.
Detective Sergeant Simon Carter, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Since this incident was reported to us, officers have been working hard to conduct enquiries and investigate.
“We continue to offer the lady support, who was clearly shaken up by this, and we treat reports of this nature very seriously.”
