Man charged following knife incident in a Forest Fields shop

A 39-year-old man has been charged following a knife incident on Monday in a shop in Forest Fields.

Marlon Nelson of no fixed address has been charged with attempted s18 wounding and threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place.

Detective Constable Laura McCullough is leading the investigation. She said: “Officers were called to a shop in Foxhall Road following a report of a serious assault at the shop at around 3 pm on Monday.

“It was reported a man threatened a male victim with a knife.

“The victim suffered a slash wound across his arm, but his injuries aren’t life-altering.

“He has been remanded into police custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court today. The investigation regarding the incident is continuing.”
