A Chilwell man has been charged with stalking and criminal damage after a series of incidents over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Police were called twice to an address in Francis Street, Radford, on Sunday 2 May after reports of a man behaving aggressively outside the house.
Officers attended the same address at around 10.30am the following morning when a suspect was reported to be trying to force his way into the property.
A suspect was found nearby and arrested shortly afterwards.
A 32-year-old man from Chilwell has been charged with three counts of criminal damage and one count of stalking.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) and was released on court bail.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Barson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We take these kinds of offences extremely seriously and officers moved decisively in this instance to thoroughly investigate what happened over these two days, secure charges against a suspect and take additional steps to safeguard the victim. We would urge anyone else who finds themselves in a similar position to call the police as soon as possible.”
