A suspect has appeared in court after reports of an attempted burglary at a block of flats.
A 33-year-old man of no fixed abode, will face a trial after appearing at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday (7 October 2022) charged with attempted burglary and possession of a knife in a public place.
He was remanded in custody to appear again at Nottingham Crown Court on 4 November 2022.
Officers were called to Oakdale Road, Arnold, at around 8.45pm on 5 October 2022 when a resident spotted three men outside his home.
Police arrived at the scene quickly, arrested the suspect shortly afterwards and seized a knife.
Detective Sergeant Joanne Eaton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We will always investigate every report of theft and burglary we receive as we understand the huge impact they can have on families and individuals.
“Preventing and reducing these crimes is a key priority for Nottinghamshire Police, which is why we have two dedicated burglary teams across the force, tasked with solving these offences and stopping them from happening in the first place.
“I am pleased the suspect has now appeared in court but our investigation continues.
“Can I please ask that anyone with information give us a call on 101, quoting the incident number 655 of October 5 2022.”
