A suspect has appeared in court after a man was stabbed on Christmas Day.
Officers were called to an address in Southwell Road West, Mansfield, shortly after 7.30pm following reports of an assault.
The victim, a man in his twenties, remains in hospital where he has been treated for serious abdominal injuries.
Mark Fugler, aged 58, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Fugler, of Southwell Road West, Mansfield, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning where he entered a not guilty plea.
He was released on conditional court bail and is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 24 January.
