A man has died following a road traffic collision on the Snake Pass.
Officers were called out to reports that a car had left the Snake Road in Bamford and gone onto an embankment at about 4pm on Sunday 16 November.
Derbyshire Police said:
‘Emergency services attended the scene and sadly a man aged in his 50s, who was the driver, was declared dead shortly after.
‘The man’s family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.
‘Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
‘An investigation is ongoing on behalf of the coroner.
‘No other vehicles were involved and nobody else was injured in the incident.
‘The road was closed for a period of time between the Snake Pass Inn and Hagg Farm whilst emergency services attended the incident but was later reopened.’
