A man aged in his 40s was taken to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening.

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody.

A cordon has been set up while officers continue with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell said: “At this time we believe people involved are known to each other and we are satisfied it is an isolated incident.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we’re appealing for anyone who has any information about what happened to call us on 101, quoting incident number 138 of 5 October 2019.

“Our officers remain in the area to reassure people as we continue with our enquiries. If anyone has any concerns I’d encourage them to speak to one of our officers.”
