Man found with serious slash injuries in Old Market Square Nottingham

Police were called to Old Market Square in Nottingham at 7.30 am this morning where paramedics were treating a 20-year-old man who had sustained a serious slash wound to his hand and an injury to his head.

Officers were able to locate where the attack took place, finding blood stains outside Tipoo restaurant on Alfreton Road.

It is believed the incident happened at this location between 4.30 am and 6 am this morning (10 December).

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody.
