Detectives investigating a stabbing in Nottingham have arrested a suspect.
Officers were called to Pine View in Radford at 7.25pm yesterday (22 January) after a man was assaulted.
The victim was discovered outside an address with stab wounds when emergency services arrived.
He was taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries, which are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
After conducting local inquiries, officers managed to locate and detain someone they suspected of being involved.
The 55-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“While we appreciate residents will be concerned about this assault, we’d like to reassure them that we’re confident it was an isolated incident.
“The person responsible for this attack is incredibly fortunate the victim didn’t sustain far more serious injuries than they did.
“While we’ve arrested a suspect in connection with this case, our inquiries are still very much ongoing, so we’d encourage anyone who has any relevant information to share it with us.
“This can be reported to the police by calling 101, quoting incident 616 of 22 January 2025, or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
