Man identified after A52 concern for person’s safety

A man has been identified after an incident on the A52 in Derby.

Police said:

‘We received a report of concern for a man on a bridge on the A52 in Spondon just after 6:10 am on Wednesday 5 March.

‘At the time of the incident the man was unidentified, and we issued a media appeal just before 10am for information about his identity.

‘Members of the public responded to our appeal, and we have now located his next of kin, who has been made aware of this incident.’

‘The man has been taken to hospital for treatment.

‘Thank you all who shared our appeal to identify him.’
