Man in court after victim smashed over the head with a glass bottle

A suspect is due in court over allegations a man was smashed over the head with a glass bottle.

The victim had to have his head glued in hospital after police were called to a report of an assault at an address in Noel Street, Hyson Green, at around 6.30pm on Saturday (4 December 2021).

Following enquiries police arrested a man on Monday in connection with the incident.

Jelaine Scott, aged 33, from Moorgate Street, Radford, has since been charged with wounding with intent and assault by beating and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 8 December 2021).

Detective Constable Louise Fowkes, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The force takes all reports of weapon-enabled violence seriously and will take robust action against anyone involved in this type of disorder.”
